Moyes urges supporters’ to get behind the team

|

David Moyes are urged supporters to get behind the team saying giving them a team they can be proud of could take pressure off the owners.

The manager told reporters  “I would like to do is give them a team, one they can be proud of. I want the supporters to stay right behind the players. They [the fans] have been great with me since I came in, I do think that us giving them a good team, I want to improve us. We have made small improvements, today we haven’t given away too many chances, to conceding too many goals so there have been small improvements but now we need to give them something to shout about.”

“I think the football manager can ease any of the burdens on the owners by their team’s performance. But the manager needs good support, backing and I am happy to take that responsibility. I was happy to take it last time, I wanted it when I left and I want it again. I’ve been thrown in at not the best time but I have to say, I am happy to take it on to get a good team here.”

“But I need time to do it, I can’t do it right away and as you can see today, looking over my shoulder and wondering “what can we do here to alter things?” and in truth, we didn’t have an awful lot.”

Claret and Hugh say:

The manager seems to be admitting that results speak volumes when it comes to supporter happiness and contentment. Lots of things and previous actions can be forgiven if the team is winning and moving further up the table. If the Hammers had won the majority of home games at the London Stadium since moving fans probably wouldn’t be talking about its suitability as a football stadium, likewise anger against the owners would be far less if we were succeeding on the pitch right now. Moyes seems to be taking the world on his shoulders by taking full responsibility for turning West Ham’s fortunes around.

As they say “the table doesn’t lie”.
Moyes has taken over a poor side and all that’s left for the rest of the season is avoid relegation and a good cup run.

Moyes talks a lot of sense. He’s steadied the ship, and I don’t see anyone coming to the club until the summer.
He does need to look at certain players (Lanzini). How does he get picked at the moment, he is not the player he was before the injury. Why take Fornals off. He was arguable our best player!
I’ll never work that one out!!
I am with you David Moyes, a man with passion, fight and determination.

Yeah we are behind the team and moyes. All critic is destined to the owners and rightly so. They are bunch of amateurs trying to handle things and publicity like Russia. They have ruined West Ham.

I never heard any moaning about the old Wembley Stadium atmosphere and suitability for football. That had a Speedway Track around the pitch and a Dog Track around the Speedway he London Stadium is a vast improvement on that and gets an additional 25k fans more than the Boleyn. It’s not perfect but what is?

I wish the Moaners would pack it in and get behind the team. I’m sick of Anti board social media as well always stoking the fires of discontent. Look at that Gonzo geezer for instance. Some of the anti board propaganda he puts out on you tube is shameful. It doesn’t help the team or the club in any way shape or form.
