Moyes wants Onana

According to The Sun, David Moyes is back on the trail of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, having initially tried to sign him last summer.

The Toffees could try and cash in on big interest to help ease their somewhat worrying financial issues, and one particular card they hold, which could be involved in any sale is Onana, with Moyes ready to make a £50million move for his services.

Onana has only had one season in the top flight, but the Belgian international immediately hit the ground running at Goodison Park.

He was one of very few standouts in a really disappointing season for the Toffees, who could now strike while the iron is hot and cash in on their midfield maestro.

West Ham will have more than enough funds this summer after Rice’s likely exit is completed, and a £50million move for Onana would leave them with plenty of money left over to improve in other areas.

As for the Belgian, he would be moving to a club playing in the Europa League, and would land regular playing time having been in and out of the Everton starting XI in recent months.

This article is kind of contradicting itself. One of the few stand out performers but was in and out of the side?
If you’re in and out of the side that suggets does it not that you weren’t performing?

IMO there’s no way he’s worth anything like £50m

This might have legs because Onana is defo à Moyes type of player, big and physical, more determined than gifted.

He chose to go to Everton over West Ham last summer, so no thanks…
