Sunderland are currently front-runners to sign striker Divin Mubama from West Ham this summer. The North East club has become a familiar destination for West Ham players, with Pierre Ekwah and Ajo Alise both having made the move.

Adding an interesting twist to the story, there is speculation that West Ham fan Will Still could be appointed as Sunderland’s manager next season.

Mubama, a product of West Ham’s youth system, has edged into the fringes of the first team over the past couple of seasons. He has made 18 senior appearances in all competitions under David Moyes, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Earlier this season, reports surfaced that Mubama had declined a new contract offer from West Ham. With his current deal expiring at the end of this season, he will be free to join any club, and Sunderland are poised to capitalize on this opportunity.

According to recent updates, several clubs have been monitoring Mubama throughout the season. However, Sunderland are reportedly leading the chase and could secure the young striker’s services by the end of this season.

Sunderland, having struggled offensively this season, are in dire need of bolstering their attack and see Mubama as a potential key addition.

It seems such a shame we have this tremendous young talented player and he is not being given a chance to shine, obviously if he’s going to get regular 1st team football can’t see why he would want to stay, with current manager his development would cease

David Moyes was the worst, most negative manager that Sunderland have ever had
