You could argue that different points of view within the club’s hierachy is a good thing – that it’s healthy and makes for an interesting exchange of views.
You could equally well point out that when David Sullivan, David Gold and manager Slaven Bilic appear to be singing from different hymn sheets it may not have been such a great idea to let them all loose in front of different interviewers during the course of Sky Sports’ day long broadcast from the Boleyn.
It’s a well known fact that the manager wants leaks on transfer targets to stop – we reported the same here just a few hours ago. He would sooner the business were done quietly and out of sight making announcements only when the deal has been done.
However, having explained in his early morning interview on the broadcast to an interviewer who appeared to have fallen in love with the word ’emotional’ that he and the owners had a brilliant relationship, it may have been a setback when co chairman Mr Sullivan set some major transfer hares running later in the afternoon.
As is his wont DS dropped his bombshell announcement in the middle of a fairly interesting if unspectacular interview with the over-enthusiastc Jim White when saying he would this week bid between £20m-£25 million for a player based in England. Quite what Slav made of that one can only wonder.
The guessing game immediately got underway and among the names mentioned was Theo Walcott – err NO it’s not him.
Enough clues have been dropped over recent weeks, the biggest being that we are looking for 20 goal a season man. Take a look at who’s managed that this season. I promise you it’s a very small list.
Next up we had David Gold insisting that the Boleyn atmosphere could be transported to the OS – that we were leaving nothing behind…that it could all be taken with us.
Yet just a few hours earlier in his interview Slav had said that was impossible declaring emphatically: “There’s no chance of that happening – the OS will be different and I’m gonna miss Upton Park.”
We had Curbs declaring how happy he’d been as a Hammer but how his managerial departure still rankled, a social media maestro with near millions of followers, Galey, TC , Nobes and so many others.
But the difference of opinions being expressed from the top were by far the most entertaining feature of a very nice day in front of the TV staring unblinkingly at that wonderful old place of ours!
This old bugger takes it all with a pinch of salt.I think DS should have said a 40million pound bid,that would have really got the cogs turning in brains.
Personal opinions,different views,all good as far as I’m concerned.Not everyone is West Ham obsessed reading & watching every bit of tittle tattle about us.I have never understood this Twitter thing,my grandkid is obsessed with that,as soon as he sees something West Ham related he takes it as gospel bless him.I have to explain to him that 99% is bull**** on it about us.

Bubs you may yet get your wish with Wilson or Remond? Anyway the owners have done well in the recruitment area and I expect that trend to continue.I pray some of our players on loan get first team experience with the likes of Oxford.Read elsewhere Manure are lining up for him as well as Man city.
