Nasri blow for Pellegrini

|

Samir Nasri is unexpected to make the squad for the game against Liverpool in another blow to the manager.

It may be no coincidence that the team has been seriously lacking in creativity since the French free signing has been missing.

We understand that the midfielder took a knock in the match against Bournemouth and is likely to be back for the game against Palace next week.

A Hammers source told us on the phone: “It’s bad news because we have been lacking that creativity in midfield and could certainly have done with him.”

The Hammers currently top the Premier League injury table with 11 first teamers sidelined.

Marko Arnautovic (foot), has a remote chance of making the game but Fabian Balbuena, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, Manu Lanzini, Carlos Sanchez and Winston Reid, Aaron Cresswell, Lukasz Fabianski and Lucas Perez remain on the sidelines as the Irons look for a form recovery.

With 11 out, the Hammers are clear leaders in the most injuries league with Arsenal next on seven and Bournemouth in third with six.

Your having a laugh? In a previous article not far from this one there is a picture and a headline that says “players that can make a difference ” and shows Nasri ? Well it’s same old same old, have we got another ‘sick note’ from someone who used play for Arsenal at one time too???

    • Sorry didn’t realise it was my fault and in fact didn’t write the last article. Sure you know best however!

Sorry Hugh I didn’t say it was your article so no I didn’t think your fault, it was just in terms of speech saying ” your having a laugh ” not you personally , just in general! We are a bit touchy today? 😊😊😊

    • Think it was a pretty mild response Dusty tbh given some of what we get here. No I’m fine. Fair play to yer I see the passion πŸ™‚

Your very techy at the min Hugh I wouldn’t take some of the posts personally like a lot of others I’m a moaner but it’s aimed at the club and its only b because I care so .much …

        • I am not techy at all mate. I am taking a tad more interest in this end of the operation and simply responding as I do on the FB group. Although I founded this site and some believe I should not respond in a particular manner, I am a fan like the rest of you and if I feel an argument is well put I’ll say so. If poor, the same applies. There are some who do make it directly or indirectly personal and I feel, like anyone else, I have the right to respond to that πŸ™‚

How many injuries did we need before we dipped into the transfer market which we clearly didn’t . We need to look at how we have so many injuries , is it just bad luck or something at the facilities causing injuries. Ok players get knocks but so many out is not normal. We need to look at recruitment as well and ensure we buy players that are not injury prone. Where do we go from here , I guess it’s only one game so maybe one of the youngsters can step up and stake a claim for themselves.

  • aol says:

Weren’t these players also injured yesterday when we failed to make any signings?

I have never in over forty years known a West Ham squad to be so cursed with injuries.Last season was bad enough but this is now seriously damaging the performances obviously.Gold has been torn to shreds on Twitter for not strengthening the squad in the transfer window whilst bragging about getting Dju on a freebie and yet not be willing to help the manager who you felt was almost begging for some additions after the Wolves thrashing.

  • kevin says:

Just what we needed . 15 man squad down to 14 , or maybe 13.5 depending on the attitude of Anautovic .
    Look out Liverpool .

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Expectations will be low for the Liverpool game, reduced to virtually zero, imho play 5 at the back with Cresswell being the 3rd central defender, Masuaku can be a wingback then which he is better at, play AC as the centre forward and use Allardici tactics long diagonal with Anderson and Hernandez around AC to feed off the scraps, Noble will be invisible against there midfield anyway so we may aswell just bypass them completely and start time wasting from the first whistle, Adrian is good at that.

  • Fabionic says:

One look at the training facilities and what’s been spent on them will tell you all you need to know about we consistently top the “injury league” every season, imo.

  • bubbles says:

Half the season gone and not a great deal of difference on injury front so no one can complain that they ran out of time to sign anyone . Loads of bull about forward signing but no midfielders mentioned Total crap .

  • crewehammer says:

Our season ended last week, not in a cup, can’t go down, nothing left to play for, why buy in a sellers market? Gold did the right thing by not wasting money.
