Professional animator Canning Town Len has spent over 1,100 hours creating his latest masterpiece which has now been released on the Amazon Video streaming platform to purchase.
The West Ham film includes great interviews from former Hammers David Cross, Ray Stewart, Phil Parkes, Alvin Martin and Alan Devonshire together with professional animation interlaced in the 83 minute feature.
West Ham were once a team famous for their attacking style of football and World Cup heroes, including charismatic captain Bobby Moore. In this warm and nostalgic comic-book style documentary, John Lyall’s key acquisitions reminisce to tell the tale of how West Ham United moved into a new era – leaving the desperation of the late seventies, and into the hope and ambition of the eighties
Hugh and Sean have small cameo roles in the film in animated scenes as an acknowledgement in helping set up some of the interviews with former players of that era.
You can now own the HD film on Amazon to stream and download for just £1.99 from https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/video/detail/B081HX1ZPV/ref=share_ios_movie

I just tried to purchase this film but it looks like I can’t because I live in Australia as I got this message…
“We’re unable to complete your order. Your payment method was not charged. The billing address on your payment method must be a valid address in the United Kingdom. If you’re paying with a credit card, it must be issued from a bank in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions, please contact Amazon Customer Service.”
I then tried to purchase it via the Australian Amazon website but according to the Australian site it doesn’t exist so it looks like it’s only available for people who live in the UK to watch, not happy!!
It’s virtually the same for the Ironmen DVD too, it’s only available for viewing in area 1 format which is UK & Europe, so we in Australia miss out again.
Neil, I was unaware of this when I chose Amazon to distribute the film, and was expecting to make a deal for DVD release so no fans missed out – wherever they resided. Unfortunately, the deal for the DVDs didn’t materialise. Had I know this was the case, I would have distributed the film independently through a central site – this would have also been more financially beneficial to my studio – but that wasn’t the purpose of the project. I chose Amazon Prime, as I was led to believe it would span a wider audience, as it will soon be hosting Premier League matches.
However, according to Amazon, when the film is released on the Prime Video streaming service (not purchase) it should be available in Australia. If it isn’t I will find a way to genuinely make the video available worldwide. I will work this out soon, Thanks for your patience.
