Nobes send off plans revealed

|

Special arrangements have been made to ensure Mark Noble gets the Hammers send off as a player deserves after all these years ahead of the game against Manchester City on Sunday.

Nobes of course is highly unlikely to be involved in the starting line up but plans are in place to ensure he gets the reception he deserves at our final home game of the season.

He may of course be given a few seconds on the pitch at the end if that’s what the manager considers best but his years of service will be given a “moment of appreciation” ahead of a game which if we win could well go a long way towards securing Europa League football next season.

He is is be  honoured with a post-match presentation and a giant fan mosaic as part of West Ham’s plans to bid farewell to the  club legend on their last opportunity to do so.

The London Evening Standard reports that a number of Noble’s closest former teammates will be at the game, while giant banners in the centre-circle and hanging from the roof of the stadium’s East Stand, will pay homage to the midfielder with his name and shirt No16.

The 35-year-old is unlikely to start against Pep Guardiola’s side and there is not expected to be a traditional guard of honour ahead of kick-off, but both sets of fans and players will participate in a “moment of appreciation”.
