Nordtveit signs for five years

|

nordtveit_arsenalWest Ham will sign Norway midfielder Havard Nordtveit on a free transfer on 1st July after his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach runs out the club officially confirmed today.

The 25-year-old, who left Arsenal to join the Bundesliga team in December 2010, has signed a five-year deal with the Hammers.

He told the Official Website: “It has always been a dream for me to play in the Premier League and now I have a big opportunity to do that for West Ham – I cannot wait to start!

“This team has something special, a spirit in the team that I can fit into. I will work hard and hopefully I can get some good moments at this Club.

“I’m a player who can play many roles on the pitch, but I’m from Norway so maybe a little bit more running, tackles and try to spread a few balls around me.

“I’m looking forward to showing what I can do, but hopefully I have something to help West Ham achieve even more.”

Nordtveit, who made his Norway debut in 2011, has 28 international caps. He is a defensive midfielder who can also play at the back.

I hope he is ready to be called a Minger after his first 20 minutes on the pitch. It’s how it works isn’t it 😉

Welcome to our fantastic club Harvard. So the first one of the summer arrives. Now things get interesting. How much will some of our transfers targets need European football as a must if they are to sign.Having said all that I have seen a few of our fans who don’t want European football next season.I will take it that’s for sure.

Some of our fans only want to plat Sunday football, because under Hippo that’s exactly how we played I apologise to some Sunday teams who play better football the BFS could dream of,
We will play in Europe it’s written in the stars that LVG will win and stay for 1 more year and finish the fans off,
Acutely Rads it’s normally a minger that’s doing the knocking,

Lets hope he is a good buy and can play the DM role properly with an eye for a forward pass. Watching Bojan play against us yesterday even in that awful Stoke team was a joy, that guy would be a good upgrade to Lanzini and would probably help Lanzini improve watching him week in / week out.

  • bubs says:

I watched the game 32 and can’t see where you think Lanzini was below par,Stoke were not in the first half and Lanzini wasted nothing,it was our forwards that could not tap in open goals,
In fact Lanzini was better then Payet with his corners creative freekicks,
We just ran out of pace and brought on players with no heart for the game,
    In my opinion
But I am not knocking them,
Norveld would have been a great player to bring on yesterday when Noble ran out of steam and can’t believe Obiang was not brought on when it was 1-1
