As sources close to the club claim West Ham are about to get their transfer business underway this summer, the many names mentioned start to come under closer scrutiny. As the Hammers have dropped out of the Premier League, so had the names changed – the quality may be lower but the number has grown since the Fernandes sale put money in Nuno’s transfer kitty.
The perennial problem remains, though, for Nuno’s targets: Having sought to drive up the quality of players recruited, West Ham now find themselves continually butting up against the same objection – players such as James McAtee who have no intention of dropping down a division, not at any money.

Fenerbahce’s Anthony Musaba
According to the72.co.uk, the same fate may befall the Hammers interest in Anthony Musaba, the former Sheffield Wednesday winger linked several times with a likely West Ham bid:
“West Ham and Wolves-linked Anthony Musaba has been offered to Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City, according to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu via X.”
The Turkish – based Dutch winger had been heavily tipped with a move to English football and it seems he’s receptive to coming – albeit his agent is scoping out a Premier League move.
You’d have to think with his track record, he’d be unlikely to get on to the shopping list of most Premier League sides, having peaked at Championship level in in England in 2024. Hence the punting out of their player to the newly promoted trio by Musaba’s agents.
Much will depend on Summerville’s transfer away but expect the Irons to act as soon as a deal for ‘Cry’ looks concluded: Whether it’ll be Musaba or not – time will tell.
Not bothered either way, but the three “Premiership” clubs he’s been offered to, could all be in the Championship next season, whereas we, fingers crossed, could well be in the Prem. for more than a one season stay! Could understand him going to a more established Prem. Club, but the three promoted clubs have got their work cut out to survive! IMO!!!
Well done Jarrod, staying with the Hammers!
Bowen commits to next season with Hammers in Championship!
