Oggy recovery speeds up

|

Angelo Ogbonna is making a quicker than expected recovery from injury and may return to action before the end of the season.

The central defender was injured against Liverpool back in November at the London Stadium and has been expected to be out until next season.

But CandH was told this morning that he has moved beyond upper body strengthening in the gym within his recovery regime and is now back on grass.

He is walking and trotting which suggests he may be closer to a return to squad training than most would have expected possible.

There are even hopes that he could be back by the middle of next month assuming his recovery continues at the present rate.

Vladi Coufal is also on the mend and expecting to be back by early next month following surgery on a groin injury which at the time was expected to keep him out for six weeks.
