The ClaretandHugh flag was still proudly fluttering but the empty seats spoke volumes for the feelings of most after the shocking defeat by Liverpool.
Yes we have supported them through the most frustrating and disappointing season in a long time but the message beamed out from the club after the embarrassing exit by the fans said it all.
We expect better, much better this summer and next season. You can forget the players – it really was the supporters who were the heroes this campaign.
Thank God it’s all but over!
I must admit I was on the charge to the Station after the fourth goal – staying for the ‘lap of appreciation’ didn’t even go through my mind, and it seems to be the same for the vast majority of the punters!
It’s been a very disappointing Season with a series of lowlights – Zaza, Tore, the whole Payet affair, the injuries, Carroll and Sakho, …. you could go on and on – enough!
Thank God we survived in the Premiership – I can’t wait for next Season, let’s hope for a good Summer!
Being philosophical, all you can say is that we survived. i did have a chuckle when the stadium announcer corrected himself from ‘lap of hon’… to ‘lap of appreciation’.
The highlights? Only the Chelski Cup Win & Spurs, of course.
The low lights? Too many to mention, but the pathetic showboating and capitulation to Watford having been 2-0 up is up there, along with the humilation (again & again) by Citeh. In the words of the Captain Sensible song ‘glad its all over’. Good luck to us all!

Don’t think about those lowlights Iron Man. Give yourself a break. Or maybe give yourself a drink. Then another! Next season has to be better.
