Optimism is the West Ham way

|

Optimism has returned to West Ham supporters with over 58% of those polled today believing we will beat Manchester United at Saturday lunchtime. Over 30% predict a draw at the London Stadium while a miserable 12% forecast a loss at the weekend.

The Hammers have played the Red Devils 139 time with West Ham winning 43 games, drawing 31 games and losing 65 matches.

The bookies sell it a different way, they are offering 7/2 for a West Ham win,  3/1 for a draw while Man Utd are odd-ons favorites at 4/5 for the away win.

But what do the bookies know?

Manchester United got dumped out of the league cup on penalties mid week, Jose had a public row with his captain and his management position remains on thin ice. Let’s hope they have another off day and we can build on the Everton away win and Chelsea stalemate.

Stranger things have happened and of course, we did win 8-0 midweek which must add some added confidence to the team.
