Owner tells radio station West Ham not for sale

|

West Ham is not for sale according to Talksport host Jim White

Speaking on his TalkSport radio show earlier today Jim said Just as we came on air, I got a call from one of the owners.” “They do not like the fact that, in their eyes, they’re being hung out to dry.”

White is well known to know David Sullivan  and said  ‘Are you going to walk away?’

The answer came back: ‘Not at the moment.’

Rumours have been rife on social media  in the past few qweeks that a West Ham take-over bid will launched, perhaps by an American cosortium by the end of the year but there seems to be little substance at this time to back up these claims.
David Sullivan owns 51.5% of the club while David Gold owns 35.1% with 10% belonging to American tripp Smith and the remaining 3.4% split between Terry Brown, the Harris family and Karren Brady.

Not until they get past the date where they need to give a slug of it the London borough.

  • Nala says:

These owners are supposed to be West Ham fans! If so why are they seemingly intent on selling it down the river, almost like they want the club to slide into the Championship. The manager and fans deserve much more than this. Absolute disgrace. GSB don’t mind taking out their hefty interest payments while claiming there is no money available for transfers

  • Julian Woodhouse says:

They don’t like that they feel they are being hung out to dry, you couldn’t make it up. They have spent 10 years destroying this club with lies and under investment and they are being hung out to dry. They have hung us out to dry until we have become a laughing stock and the best thing they can now do for us if they cannot invest is to sell to owners who can and will deliver on their promises.

  • Kent-iron says:

Well maybe they should listen to the fans and sell, get out of our club now! I will not be renewing again next season if they still own West Ham Utd.

  • mark wiggins says:

They should sell up they use the club as a cash cow rather than invest in the team . The owners have No shame That our club is a laughing stock they need to reconsider .

  • Lott of Iron says:

Why do you take people’s comments down that doesn’t agree with GSB & yourself ?

    • Sorry – that’s nether true or logical as you will find if you read the comments here. My opinion was printed last night and it is not one imagined by someone but instead, the truth from me. They will come down if they attack me personally when people omagine THEY know what I believe AND PRESENT IT AS TRUTH WHEN THE REALITY IS IT’S RUBBISH.

  • Craig Benee says:

Not at the moment but everyone has their breaking point was his fully reply

time to ramp up the pressure

  • Hammer_Rite says:

Well normally he just says no so maybe there is a glimmer of hope by saying “Not at the moment”.

  • westhamsteve says:

Some people just don’t get it, even when it’s slap bang in front of your nose. To put it politely GSB, you are not wanted here. Whatever you did to help this great club, you have pulled that to pieces. No more, lies, no more promises, Time to go.

  • Jonnyd says:

Well now that we know the interest paid to them in the last period @6% amounted to £17m the pressure will no doubt increase
What bank would give you that return??

  • Rocky says:

Hung out to dry by who exactly?

  • The Cat says:

Hung out to dry? ……….I’m Gobsmacked and Speechless!
In business “Clarity is King”………… As supporters all we get is rumour on top of rumour along with all the speculation that it brings, is it any wonder that there is major dissatisfaction with the direction of this club?

  • Rocky says:

Is the front cover of the Charlton programme intended to be a kick in the teeth to all Charlton supporters? Lack of class from West Ham media yet again.

  • Rocky says:

Imagine we were playing West Brom on Tuesday and West Brom put a picture of Grady Diangana kissing the West Brom badge on the front cover, do you think West Ham fans would find that inflammatory?

  • Childish says:

More bad news then …plus another day slips by and still no signings ..

  • Maca5631 says:

They’re being ‘hung out to dry’??

    FMOB, are they THAT delusional?
Sorry rhetorical question. Of course they are.

  • Stevie Mac says:

Do you think it was somebody trying to be funny by saying they where one of the owners, just plz let it be lies. Thay have to be idiots not buying anyone. That’s just the worst news I could here there for staying it’s a crying shame a wonderful club like West Ham have got 2 clunkers running it

  • jamie hickman says:

Jim White, sounding more and more like the little poodle of GSB

  • Childish says:

    These comments speak volumes….

  • DJHammer says:

The current board has received plenty flack during their tenure. Many of their decisions have left me baffled and infuriated, both commercially and sporting. For example,
remortgaging all three training grounds, borrowing money from Mr Tabor at a premium rate, on the football side of the coin they have appointed several managers whose philosophy was so removed from our DNA that I have wept in despair watching us. Continuously approve signing a plethora of players who lose value in the market, leaving little or no sell on value. This list is not exhaustive.

  • Graham Watts says:

We were in danger of bankruptcy under previous owners so need to be careful what we wish for.
I would not renew my season ticket if Russians, Chinese, Arabs or Thai involved. All have either major human rights abuses or state sponsored murder involved.
OK for Americans as long as Trump not involved!
I shall be betting my season ticket on anyone wanting to take over in current circumstances!

  • Mick says:

“Not at the moment” just means that Tweedledum, Tweedledee and the Wicked Witch haven’t received any bids that match their ridiculous asking price!!
And Jim White…get your tongue out of Tweedledums arse.
