Paqueta magic wows Hammers

|

Lucas Paqueta is a tricky Brazilian and he proved it last night!

The Hammers beat Anderlecht 1-0 to continue their flawless start to the Europa Conference League and the attacking midfielder was in the thick of it.

He came off the bench in the second half to set up Gianluca Scamacca, sending an excellent through ball into his path, which the Italian promptly swivelled and hit into the bottom corner.

But it was a skill move that really got tongues wagging, as Paqueta controlled a long diagonal by jumping and tucking his leg behind him to control it with his heel.

It led to a camera shot of sub Aaron Cresswell with his mouth hanging open, while Tomas Soucek was left with a huge smile on his face.

Both subs then shared a laugh about just how silky Paqueta is.

The video can be seen below; what a player we’ve got on our hands here!

Paqueta only on the pitch for twenty minutes but made the difference with his brilliant assist. Think we have a great player on our hands.
