Payet: “I’m 100 per cent staying at West Ham”

payet3Dimitri Payet has told the Sun newspaper: “I’ve heard about all the interest and I’m flattered. But I love West Ham. We had a fantastic season and I can’t wait to play in the Olympic Stadium. I’m 100 per cent staying at West Ham, I love the club. I can tell the Hammers fans that.”

The statistics below show why there is so much interest in the 29 year old. His key passes, assists, goals and successful take ons are some of the best in Europe.

If true thats great news, hopefully it will also encourage other players to come, I know a while ago we were linked with Joe Allen who is not a first team starter at Liverpool but I think would work really well and give us some different looks in our midfield, he roams side to side which is why he is nicknamed the Welsh Pirlo and we are really missing that type of player since Song stopped appearing for us. I am also hopeful that at the home kit launch they will be able to present a new player for us, they are keeping everything under wraps but probably its just wishful thinking on my behalf.

    12 minutes to write this!!! … 😛

Good news to hear though.. lets get this new striker in ASAP..
Big summer of signings wasn’t we told..? all freebies .. time to spend some cash??

Maybe on our next striker we try to sign not tell the whole world so other clubs better our offer and take him.. spurs . chelsea.

Exactly what I have posted a couple of times but almost everyone else seezmz to think we have done so well so far. I myself am damned if I can see how a couple of freebies and a loaner is so great, especially when, against that, we have so far failed in every attempt to sign a quality striker.
My greatest hope is that Andy Carroll stays fit because the way things are going, we are going to need him big time.
I also get the feeling Slav fears we could come unstuck and that’s why he has been following his success of last season and picking up more attacking midfielders

  • Ray says:

The only conclusion I can draw Canchaz is that you have never seen any of our new ‘freebies’ play if you don’t consider that we have done good business thus far.

    • dandapperwhu says:

Know one has said we haven’t done good business so far…?

The main point is that we havent spent anything yet apart from a loan fee..?
Every target we are linked with and rumours from various people/papers/websites/owners..! seems to end in signing somewhere elsewhere.

Palace have spent 24m so far and was willing to pay 25m for benteke (abit foolish but still)…

Get him in and keep the deal low key.

Anyway guys, trust in Slav, the guitarist knows his stuff, there’s no need to have a meltdown lol … it’s a long and hot summer, anything can happen at any time… 😉
