Payet odds on to stay a Hammer

|

payetBookmakers SkyBet have Dimi Payet at 1/4 odds on to remain a Hammer after the January transfer window shuts.

Chelsea are the second favourite with long odds of 7/1 to be his next club after 1st February followed by Arsenal at 10/1 and Manchester United at 12/1.

PSG are 14/1 as his future club while Spurs are listed as 20/1. Marseille and Man City are both 25/1 long shots while Everton, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Barcelona are all listed as 33/1 outsiders by the bookies.

Despite the bookmakers long odds of him moving expect Payet to be linked to all these teams and many more in the general media during the silly season.

Payet recently said in a French interview that he missed the Champions League and he would not close the door to anything when asked about his future. Obviously the bookies aren’t convinced by his words and believe he will remain a Hammer for the time being.

Although Dimi wasn’t a total stranger to the football world, his status has increased ten fold since he joined West Ham.He was recalled by France, and before his move his career had plateaued, hence the cheap fee for him.
If you look back at his previous clubs, there is no one team he can call home.He either gets bored or sold for one reason or another. If he was to stay at West Ham he could reach legendary status one day.
But with one big move left at his age,and his stock as high as its ever been, i fancy no matter how many sing his name,if the right offer came in he’d bolt, and as long as West Ham are happy with the price,we’d sell. COYI

If Chelski will offer us £50m and Fabregas would be worth considering 😉
