Poll: Do you agree it’s time to change?

kouyate-cheikhou-kouyate-west-ham_3441958David Gold has called for  technology to be introduced to the Premier League as soon as possible to stop mistakes like the Kouyate sending off on Saturday.

Gold told ClaretandHugh: “Nobody wants to see this and it is happening to us week after week.

I have called in the past for a third ref in the box and it has to happen – surely. At the moment the referees have two assistants and in the majority of cases they all seem to be coming to the same conclusion on incidents which I frankly don’t understand.

“Everybody we spoke to after the game agreed Cheik should not have been send off – surely we can’t all be wrong because several of them were Palace people.

“Cricket has a third umpire and there are only odd occasions when the decision remains unclear after several viewings and if that’s the case in football then we go with the referee. Simple.

“At the moment we are taking about decisions within the game rather than the game itself. Referees must have help – the shouldn’t be made to have to live with decisions that may be wrong f we have the means of proving the issue one way or the other. We’re all human.”

Do you agree with David Gold or do decisions even themselves out over the course of a season?

I think the managers should have the right to call 1 decision per half. If it is upheld, he keeps that right until he gets it wrong. This means bad refs like Paul Tierney v Everton get exposed and players protected from managers (e.g. Martinez) who instructs his players (e.g McCarthy / Barclay) to injure the opposition (eg Payet, Moses, Noble etc). The evidence was there. Tierney ignored it. Payet was injured and out for months.
This is on top of penalty, offside, red/yellow cards, fouls etc that could make the difference between winnkng/ losing cups / relegation.
This is not rocket science and has been tested in other sports…so FIFA get a ****ing move on you corrupt crooked ar**holes

Just bring in video. Why complicate it with appeals? How about we appeal one and it gets knocked back and then we get a blatently obvious one that we can’t appeal? Video evidence now. Every major progressive money orientated sport have introduced it, WHY NOT US?
