It’s time for Adrian!
That’s the verdict of ClaretandHugh followers following a difficult run of games for Darren Randolph in the West Ham goal.
And just as Slaven Bilic was moved to replace the Spaniard after some earlier cock-ups a new poll from CandH shows that it’s time for Randolph to take a back seat.
He hasn’t picked up a single clean sheet in the last five games, while conceding an average of 2.2 goals per game.
With a record of two saves per game, it means that the stopper has made 0.91 saves per goal conceded over the course of the last five fixtures.
As a result of that the popular CandH website asked a simple question: Is it time for him to be dropped and Adrian recalled.
The overwhelming response from nearly 1400 voters was that his time is up with 71.53 (990 votes) saying drop him and just 394 (28.47 pc) believing he should stay between the sticks.
But we are going around in circles.When Adrian was having a hard time it was time for Randolph according to some.
For me Adrian will always be my number one choice if he can get his erratic tendencies lessened.

A bit harsh especially the way our defence has been leaking goals recently but I think fair. Take him out of the firing line and give Adrian a go he must be gagging to get in that goal by now and what with the summer transfer window looming he will want to show the world what he’s made of although I’d be gutted to see him go. Imho I think both keepers have the same good abilities and attributes it’s just a case of each of them having their time in the limelight to show them off.
Morph them into one keeper & he would be very good 😁

The quality of defending has been so poor that I don’t think the total of goals conceded would be very different, regardless of who the keeper was. A top keeper may have prevented a few of the goals we let in but equally may not have matched a few of the outstanding saves that Randolph has produced. I don’t think these types of poll help the club or the players at all. If anything, I think they are likely to be morale sapping and poorly regarded by the players we should be supporting.
Sparrow when you consider some of things that are said about our players 24/7 anyway i really dont see how some poll is going to make a lot of difference.
If any player reads sites they have far more grief being handed out to them than any poll can give.😁
That’s true but it’s just my opinion that this sort of poll doesn’t help to support the club and undermines players. The stadium poll was different, it was constructive and would give the club useful feedback. This latest one I don’t think helps with anything and could be counterproductive. i am happy to hear a different opinion.
