Speculation is surrounding West Ham centre back Issa Diop this week with the suggestion that Spurs could be willing to put in a formal bid to test the Hammers resolve.
The report suggests the French defender is not for sale but in the same sentence says West Ham value him at £50m.
Whether the story is true or not and we suggest it is highly speculative, in today’s Claret and Hugh poll we ask what price would you be prepared to let Diop go considering his age and the price we paid for him.
Options range from £20m to £50m with further options saying more than £50m or not at any price.
According to some sources we are interested in Victor Wanyama and Levy has said that he would not do business with West Ham – so similarly we tell him that we wont do business with him
Issa will sooon be back in the side and we should not be looking to sell him in any case
One of the problems at West Ham Is that so few of our Players are actually worth anything in the Transfer Market. Over the years our Sales are poor if you compare us to Clubs like Tottenham or Liverpool.
Of the current Squad you’d say that only Declan Rice, Issa Diop, Michail Antonio and maybe Fabian Balbuena are worth any decent money. The return on players like Haller, Anderson, Yarmolenko, Fornals and Ajeti would be nothing like we paid for them. The rest of the Squad would have negligible value in the Transfer Market – it’s a major problem!
