The return of Joe Hart to Manchester City after his season-long loan to West Ham on £120,000 per week has left a keeper vacancy at West Ham. While Adrian says he will wait for the opinion of Manuel Pellegrini adding he has nothing to prove, a goalkeeping target is crucial to provide competition for the Spaniard if stays.
Various shot stopper names have been linked in the media since the transfer window opened. These include out favor Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet, relegated keepers Lukasz Fabianski from Swansea and Jack Butland from Stoke.
Tom Heaton from Burnley is another name mentioned while Sam Johnstone from Manchester United who was loaned to Aston Villa last season is another who has been talked about.
Willy Caballero who played under Pellegrini at Manchester City gets an honourable mention as does Reims keeper Edouard Mendy.
Tell us who you would like to join Adrian to compete for the keeper’s jersey?
Karius is free if we want a new McKnightmare, in the papers today they are reporting he was concussed during the final… well that explains it, I wonder how much Liverpool had to pay the doctor to say that, probably hoping he can secure a move away and that he isn’t really that bad, I would say its Klopp who has been concussed the last 4 transfer windows he hasn’t noticed the blindingly obvious that his keepers are pony, maybe he will sign Hart next season to make Mignolet look good.
