Sullivan’s pre-Christmas Mubama contract talks

David Sullivan is to hold pre-Christmas Divin Mubama contract talks  following David Moyes‘ declaration that the lad needs to sign a new deal with the club unlike those who have left and failed to prosper. Claret and Hugh understands that the club’s biggest shareholder will  attempt to persuade the player to agree a deal and will have talks with the teenager one on one ahead of the festive period.

We were told by a key contact: “The plan is very clear and has gained a degree of urgency since the manager spoke out telling Divin he really should sign a new Hammers deal. The lad has been at the club since he was eight year old and is a supporter as much as a player.”

Agents are attempting to push the club into paying the striker first team wages but Moyes made the point that many of the others who had been moved on were struggling to advance their careers. And C and H has been told emphatically that Sullivan will be telling Divin exactly what his future will be at the club during the planned one on one agent-free talks.

With a free transfer in the offing at the end of the season the player’s representatives are in for a larger share of the cake and that of course will presumably be a point that will be made to the striker when the talks start.
