Predictions: Lawro v West Ham fans

|

BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson predicts a 2-1 win for the home side at Old Trafford this evening.

Lawro tells his BBC website readers: “Manchester United’s win at Manchester City was a great result, and they got it with their best performance of the season.

West Ham will bring a different sort of problem for United, though, and it is one that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have not always solved this season.

Rather than going at them, like City did, the Hammers will sit in and United will have to take the game to them.

The Hammers carry plenty of attacking threat too, though, and both sides will be full of confidence.

It could be very close, but I’m expecting it to be much livelier than when West Ham came to Old Trafford in the FA Cup last month.’

West Ham fans predictions:

Gonzo from Hammers Chat “1-1 draw  Man U will have half an eye on Thursday’s European game against AC Milan and carry a few minor injuries. West Ham will be fired up, I expect a big game from Soucek and Rice.”

Stelios from Irons United Youtube channel “West Ham are finding ways to grind out wins. We’ve been unlucky against Man Utd several times this season. Today their luck will run out. Set pieces and counter-attack will be our strength. 1-2 to West Ham”

Animator Canning Town Len predicts “0-0 after the display against Man Utd in the cup, the same would be very welcome for Moyes, and he’ll know how to achieve it”

ITK EXWHUEmployee “0-1 to West Ham. Man U have a lot of injuries and played in the week and j feel our boys will be up for it. We played well in the cup there so I hope we can do the same this time too”

West Ham Till I Die Bogger David Hauzig “West Ham 2, Manchester 1. I think it’s unlikely they beat us three times. We will find a way.”

West Ham Till I Die founder Iain Dale predicts a 1-1 draw adding “a draw will be a good result”

Claret and Hugh Associate Editor Sean Whetstone “A cheeky 1-0 away win for West Ham, hopefully, we can capitalise on their injuries and win by one goal with a Mark Noble penalty after he comes on as a substitute to win the game”

    We will win 1-0.
ManU run hot and cold. If Martial plays with his usual indifference then ours to win.
