Reid: We did the simple stuff right!

|

Winston Reid – talking to the BBC:

URGENT“I think that means a lot for the fans, we haven’t won here in a long time. Our last two games have been poor so come here and win 3-0 is great.

“We did the simple stuff right – we took chances when we had them and limited Liverpool to a couple of chances.

“The referee felt there was red card for Mark Noble. He was brilliant today apart from that card – I think the referee saw it as different from the players..

“We’ve won at Arsenal and Liverpool now which are two very difficult places to come and get results at.”

Kev was right! How dare we show such audacity and whack the scousers with our so called system implemented by the out of his depth Bilic lol
I was careful what I wished for and this one today wasn’t even in my wildest dreams! For the first time in my life I can say my beloved West Ham have beaten Liverpool at Anfield and it feels great.
    COYI!!!

There was a solidarity I did not see in the two home games. Could it be that the departure of Maiga and Nolan has taken a weight off the team and certain players ?

  • Radai Lama says:

Bilic has played all these tops teams in Europe,i think he has a clear game plan he has implemented against them many times before.I think its when we play the lesser teams he doesnt know so much about he isnt so clear in his thinking. He did well against Spuds,Arse & the scousers before. When we play away he has a system/style he likes & is comfortable with.Just need to sort out the home game plans now & he will be sorted 😉

Nothing to do with poor ol Nolan, or Maiga. It’s about a manager and his staff, that given time will become a legend. This was a majestic piece of game plan being played out to perfection. Players being motivated and doing their jobs properly. The Besiktas fans carried Slav on their shoulders to the plane to come here, they recognized a man with a special ability. Bilic does his homework and then relays it to the team.
I see the press are saying this was engineered by an ex Toffee, they would put that spin on it. But Harry brought him to Upton Park so first and Formost He’s a Hammer.
We still have a long way to go but this is a special day, we must cherish it and not look for reasons that are not there.

  • Radai Lama says:

Still drinking and celebrating,I knew how bad that Liverpool defence is and what a poor goal keeper,if only we had played Lanzini instead of Nolan in the weeks past,
Where are you Mr Lawerson still counting that avalanche of Scouse goals,
Relegation Harry I don’t think so,
Now we have 2 weeks to get the injured back,
Problem is the 2 faves will not buy now,
