Report: Another Serie A ace linked

|

West Ham have been linked with a swoop to sign Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

The Hammers are currently in talks over a swoop for Gianluca Scamacca at Sassuolo.

And it appears that a second Serie A star could be on the radar of boss David Moyes.

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that the club have concrete interest in signing Zielinski as the Hammers bid to beef up their midfield options.

Napoli have made it clear that they will not accept any less than €45m for the Poland international, which equates to £38.2m.

It remains to be seen if the Irons will actually try to sign Zielinski, having also seen bids rejected for Lille’s Amadou Onana.

But his price-tag is similar, so it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the Hammers are seeking alternative targets.

Zielinski has been with Napoli since 2016 and has made 281 appearances for the club, while winning 72 caps for Poland.
