Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims Marko Arnautovic wants to return to Italy.
The morning report – which has all the fingerprints of his agent brother Danijel over it – says he would like a comeback at Inter Milan suggesting he can leave West Ham for 25 million euros.
The article, however, says Inter Milan’s priority, for now, remains with Edin Dzeko.
A year ago to the day brother Danijel was spotted in Italy allegedly meeting with Inter Milan management. A photo was later posted online by Di Marzio and the Inter Milan Arnie rumour was born.
Claret and Hugh says: We are highly doubtful of these claims on a number of fronts. Arnautovic is building a new house to his own design in the UK and has made it known he is happy to stay a Hammer next season and fight for his place. Manuel Pellegrini has also publicly said how important Arnie is to the team next season and there’s even a suggestion that Maxi Gomez is anc. Finally, with Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez now gone and Javier Hernandez on the verge of a departure, it seems crazy to imagine that the club would sanction an exit for just £22m knowing they must find a number of striker replacements with a limited budget. Sorry, we are not buying this story particularly given that Maxi Gomez may well be hesitating over a move because he fears he may not be able to claim the No 1 striker position from the Austrian.
Well like the saying goes you can choose your friends but not your family. It appears that Marko has been stuck with a greedy piece of work for a brother whose sole aim is to line his, and Marko’s, pockets
You can choose your agent, though!
25mill euros talking rubbish anyway
Is that a genuine account? I know that Di Marzio is considered somewhat reliable (hardly in same league as ExWHU though), but this story is so unbelievably badly researched and written, I wonder if it’s another Faux ITK site.
Hopefully this is true. Anything over 20m and get rid.
