Report: Chelsea have a non Irons plan for a striker

|

West Ham may be slipping backwards in a possible the race for Tammy Abraham.

The young Chelsea striker could be on his way to the Bundesliga if the Blues get their way and manage to include him in a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s £150 million Erling Haaland  – a sum believed to have been made available to  his manager Thomas Tuchel.

Abraham has been linked with the Irons and Aston Villa for weeks but an originally reported £40 million fee was immediately ruled out by the Irons boss David Moyes.

There have since been reports that Chelsea are now ready to accept £25m to £30 million but the Stamford Bridge outfit’s hopes of landing Haaland appears to have changed things again.

The Mirror reports that this is currently their favoured option but Abraham is going to have the biggest say in this and it appears that he wants to remain in London.

That would rule out such a deal and puts Villa’s hopes of landing him on the margins although given David Moyes’ reputation for caution in the market he may well slip out of his thinking altogether anyway.
