West Ham are today reported asĀ  “weighing up” what is described as “an audacious January move”for Olivier Giroud.

According to the Mirror’s Darren Lewis the Hammers could resume their interest in the former Gunner.

He writes: “With his contract up at the end of the season, however, Chelsea are monitoring his situation as Manuel Pellegrini looks to add quality to his front line.

In reporting the story The Mirror reminds readers that the Irons can’t decide whether to exercise Andy Carroll’s two year option.

However, it seems realistic to expect that were Giroud available and interested the Hammers would be ready to accept offers for the Geordie.

The Irons made a tentative approach for him before his arrival at Stamford Bridge, while he was still considering his future as a Gooner but the Frenchman turned them down as he had received better offers.
