Report: Hammers battling PL competition for Serie A ace

|

West Ham are interested in a deal to sign Wilfried Singo from Torino this summer, according to a new report in Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Hammers are keeping a close eye on his performances ahead of a potential bid when the transfer window reopens.

The Irons have Vlad Coufal, Ryan Fredericks, and Ben Johnson who are all able to play at right-back, although Fredericks is likely to leave this summer, and Johnson has functioned as a utility man.

Gazzetta now reports that the Irons are one of the Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Singo ahead of the summer. Spurs have also been linked previously.

The 21-year-old is an Ivory Coast international with two caps, and he has made a total of 70 appearances for the club since joining back in 2019.

He is also capable of playing on the right side of midfield and would cost around £25m in the summer.

It definitely feels as though the Irons have bigger needs to address in the coming transfer window.
