New reports claim that West Ham are now in advanced talks to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea.
The report comes from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that the Hammers are now targeting a swoop to sign the centre-forward after confirming the deal to sign Nayef Aguerd.
We reported in May that Irons boss David Moyes was considering a swoop to secure the signature of the Albania international, as he viewed him as a value option in the market.
Broja scored nine goals for Southampton last season and has now returned to Chelsea.
However, the report now claims that the Irons are making an effort to bring him in on a permanent deal this summer, in a deal that could cost around £30m.
That would fit in with Moyes’ budget and he is desperate to sign a new striker to provide support and competition to Mikey Antonio.
Keep an eye on this one; it’s been bubbling away in the background for some time now.
Yes please. Everything we want. Young, aggressive, strong, physical, team grafter and knows where the net is.
Totally agree. Could be the Arnautovic replacement we’ve been looking for for a while.
Six goals in the premier league all season. Hardly prolific. Maybe he has some other qualities to his game? Not seen enough of him to comment really.
Would be brilliant to see Claret and Hugh run a poll of exactly what would satisfy the ‘Dithering Dave’ knockers, in terms of outcomes from the current transfer window. No doubt, if Moyes lands Broja for £30m, after spending £30m on a centre back, and with more than two months of the window left, it’ll not be enough for some.
1980, there’s just no pleasing some of our so called fans. Some are just not happy being happy.
