Report: Hammers linked with Bundesliga Ace

Browsing on the internet (looking for picture hooks as you so kindly asked), I came across a German website that claims that Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow is on the radar of the mighty Hammers. It has also suggested that the Hammers could face competition from Aston Villa in the race to land the Swiss talent. It is the sight of all that Claret and Blue, the poor lad`s confused.

He appears to be a rather good player and has had a decent season thus far for Frankfurt, and has been responsible for producing a few impressive displays at the centre of the park. The 25-year-old has found the back of the net twice. According to the ever helpful anoraks at whoscored ,the 36-capped Cuckoo clock land international has given a good account of himself based on his average of 1.5 tackles, 1.1 interceptions, 0.9 clearances, 0.7 shots and 1.6 key passes per 90 minutes in das Fußball-Bundesliga.

He appears to know how to pass a ball as well, as when distributing the ball from midfield he has a not too shabby 86% completion rate of all his attempted passes.

The Zurich-born wunderkind is under contract in Frankfurt until the summer of 2024. So who knows, if we believe what we read, the Hammers could be arranging a move for him at the end of this season.
