The Irons are oday being reported as having made an offer for Saint-Etienne full back Kévin Malcuit, but appear to be in competition with Newcastle.
FranceFootball claims both clubs have made offers for the defender – who is in his second season with the French club – ahead of a potential summer switch
The Irons have been linked with the player for some weeks and prices of between €8-10m, are being quoted.
The club now has good links inside the French game but there is no confirmation from the club other than CandH being told that “he is one of many who have been scouted.”
Malcuit has played 20 times at right-back this season, with a few appearances across the board when needed – in midfield and on the wing.
