Report: Hammers warned of price increase for ace

|

West Ham have been warned that the price tag for Hellas Verona’s Antonin Barak has increased.

The Hammers have been linked with a move for the Serie A midfielder, who was first linked back in 2021.

Back then, the price was set at £10m but that has now risen to around £16.6m after his performances for the club, per Corriere di Verona.

Barak is 27 and has played for Hellas Verona since 2020, having initially joined on loan that was converted into a permanent deal.

This season, he has made 25 appearances in Serie A and has scored 10 goals, while also registering four assists.

A Czech Republic international with 28 caps under his belt, Barak is said to be attracting interest from a number of Serie A clubs, including Atalanta, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli, along with the Irons.

If his performances continue as they are, it is said that Barak’s price is only likely to rise further, instead of falling.
