West Ham are battling Arsenal for the signature of Arthur Melo this summer, according to a new report.
The midfielder has struggled for minutes throughout this season and has made a mere 16 starts as a result of injuries and poor form. Juventus ultimately finished fourth in Serie A. 
Sport Mediaset claims that Arthur is poised to leave the Italian club once the summer transfer window opens.
The Serie A side are keen to move him on and, as a result, are encouraging bids for the 25-year-old.
Arsenal have come into the picture because Juventus are keen to do a deal for Gunners defender Gabriel, and have discussed the idea of Arthur moving in the other direction.
The Irons are said to be interested and are lurking but it may be that the Gunners are ahead in the race to secure his signature, should it come to the stage of offers being tabled.
