Report: Irons linked with Man Utd flop

|

West Ham have been linked with a potential swoop to sign Eric Bailly from Manchester United.

TalkSPORT reports that the Ivory Coast international is on the club’s shortlist as they seek a new centre-back.

The Hammers are said to have tabled a bid for PSG’s Thilo Kehrer, but Bailly is also seen as a potential option.

He has slid down the pecking order at United and is not in the plans of Erik Ten Hag.

The Irons need to sign a new centre-back to replace Issa Diop, who is poised to move to Fulham in a deal worth around £15m.

Diop refused to play for the club at the weekend as they lost 2-0 to Manchester City and the Irons are in the market for a replacement ahead of this weekend’s clash with Nottingham Forest.

Bailly has a contract with United until 2024 and made just four appearances in the Premier League last season.

I’d take him all day. Maybe they should try a loan to buy as he has had a few injuries. Hopefully they get in Kehrer as a permanent, but a loan for Bailey why not

Before he joined Man Utd, Bailly was considered a great player, maybe he is one that could restore himself at a lesser profile club like ours to his former quality, not sure but am not convinced he is as bad as the media reports have to remember the chaos that is the Man Utd team and take it with a pinch of salt.

      To Tight #32.
Bailly was a £30mil. player 5 years ago
He’s been caught up in Man U toxic dressing room culture and managerial turnover.
Bringing him to West Ham might just save his career!
