Report: Irons transfer flurry looms

|

West Ham are set for a late flurry of transfer activity, according to a new report from the Evening Standard.

The Hammers are close to completing the signing of Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea in a deal that could be worth up to £15m.

And there is also set to be a new bid tabled for Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken, who has already revealed that he wants to move to the London Stadium.

The first offer for the Brugge ace totalled £8m and was rejected by the Belgian club.

The Hammers have thus far signed Gianluca Scamacca, Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes, Maxwel Cornet, Thilo Kehrer and Alphonse Areola in this transfer window.

Boss David Moyes is keen to sign a new full-back, hence the Emerson bid, and wants to further strengthen his midfield.

There is also a desire to sign a central midfielder in the Declan Rice mould but time is running out.

I know this is wishful thinking but I hope by some miracle we can still get Broja either loan with option to buy or permanent. . Agree also need another midfielder

this is a big IF Gordon goes to Chelsea then can see Broja being part of the deal

  • PAUL GARNER says:

its looking dangerous, we are interested in broja, and galagher from chelsea, are they holding out for a swap deal for rice, as rice has been below par this season.

Always leave it late, saves on the wages. Never mind integration and match fitness, all unimportant.

    • Budgie says:

Are we leaving it late or are selling clubs not willing to deal until they have completed planned changes?

  • hammerpete6 says:

Most of us are speculating on further activity in the market, in fact David Moyes has said it himself. Hopefully we can do it well. Not sure what if anything the Evening Standard would know over and above C&H intrepid reporters!!!!
