Report: Moyes gives go ahead for keeper approach

|

Friday’s edition of A Bola  translated by Sports Witness  claims West Ham have shown an interest in Argentian Agustín Marchesín.

The 33-year-old  goalkeeper made 43 appearances for FC Porto last season incluidng the Champions League.

A Bola say the player is ‘desired’ by David Moyes, with the West Ham manager already giving the go ahead for advance to talks for the Argentine’s signing this summer.

Marchesín could provide additional competition for 36-year-old Lukasz Fabianski and Darren Randolph.

David Martin is set to leave the club at the end of June when his contract expires.

According to what A Bola have heard West Ham are ready to ‘go ahead’ and offer €12m (£10m) in the hope that will be enough to convince Porto.

They’d also have to convince the player, because there’s a reasonable chance he’d end up on the bench at the London club for the majority of the season benhind Fabianski.
