Report: Thanks but no thanks says Moyes

|

David Moyes has turned down offered the chance to sign Naples right-back Kevin Malcuit according to a report from Area Napoli.

The 29-year-old French defender joined Napoli for 111 million Euros in the summer of 2018 but has struggled in Naples after suffering from a long term injury.

The Frenchman made just four Serie A appearances for Napoli last season. The approach was made but an intermediary agent as the manager looks for defensive targets.

Malcuit can play as a winger and as an attacker but him a versatile player to have in a squad.

Born in a suburb of Paris he represented Parisian side Racing Club as a boy before being scouted by Monaco at the age of 17. At Monaco, he began his senior career, breaking into the professional setup towards the end of the 2009–10

He joined Saint-Étienne in August 2015 on a four-year contract for a reported transfer fee of €800,000 later joining Lille on a five years contract in 2017.

Well done DM – another gold plated sick note looking for a big pay packet towards the end of his career.
