newcastle-united-midfielder-cheick-tiote-759667051West Ham are being touted as a possible destination for tough tackling Cheick Tiote who is set to leave  Newcastle at the end of the season.

The Ivory Coast international will also be a target for Southampton should the Geordies decide to sell according to some reports.

They will want around £7.5million for the 29 year old who was part of the squad which helped the Ivorians to African Cup of Nations success.

Reports claim that he’s likely to snub a two year extension to his deal which has two years left to run and that would allow Newcastle to sell without losing to much value.

Should that be the case the Irons may well see him as an alternative to Alex Song should they decide not to try to make the Barcelona loanne’s deal permanent.

Imagine the problems with the Africa cup of nations should that happen. From what ive seen of him he can have a great game one week and dreadful the next.During games he drifts in and out,it seems a bit on the rude side that sum.Id rather see Lassana Diarra there. C.O.Y.I.
