Report: West Ham changing minds on Moyes

|

West Ham again claimed to be considering parting company with Moyes

According to a report in today’s edition of The Guardian. West Ham are once again thinking of parting company with David Moyes, thereby increasing the pressure on the manager before Wednesday’s final against Fiorentina.

In may be another sign of indecision at the club as according to the story, it is understood confidence around Moyes staying has waned since the Premier League season ended. Sources are claimed to have indicated the Scot’s future could depend on West Ham winning a first major trophy in 43 years.

It is a fluid situation and, as recently as last week, the general consensus was that Moyes would stay after leading West Ham to their first European final since 1976. There were also positive noises from the board after the win over AZ Alkmaar. West Ham also won their battle against relegation.

Hoewever, it seems a final decision is yet to be made and West Ham are looking at potential replacements. It is also felt it would be impossible to make a change if West Ham beat Fiorentina in Prague. Defeat would not automatically lead to Moyes’s departure but it would certainly put a different complexion on things

West Ham, who have considered Brendan Rodgers, Graham Potter, Paulo Fonseca and at least one unidentified manager, had a disappointing league campaign and finished 14th despite spending about £160m last summer.

There is known to be dissatisfaction at board level with many of the signings. West Ham are looking to bring in a director of football and potential candidates have been informed Declan Rice will be sold this summer.

Win or lose, Moyes will back in the job next season to see out the final year of his contract. If the club have been considering other names, who the hell would stupid enough to leak it to the Guardian or any other media company? It’s BS.

Personally, I believe the Irons will win against Fiorentina, thus qualifying for a third season in Europe.

Personally I don’t like Moyes ways or plays. With strategies and player selections. As I’ve said this many times before like many others. But take Moyes out of the equation from a supporters point of view for a second and ASK?? what do we really want to see and feel. And I for one kèp coming up with one thing. I want us to feel a positivety from within us . And I want to see positivety from the players on the pitch from the start of a game till the last whistle . As a fan that’s all i expect and after that fingers and toes crossed a positive result. What ever happens or doesn’t managerial wise I hope that somehow the club gives us back that feeling next season. And takes that ON BOARD RIGHT NOW. This is my bubbles dream . 😍
