Rice concern

|

There is concern over Declan Rice’s fitness ahead of West Ham’s clash with Wolves.

The England international was spotted struggling after stretching to make a tackle in midfield against Germany. That game ended in a dramatic 3-3 draw in the UEFA Nations League.

He bent over to rub his knee afterwards and Channel 4’s commentary drew attention to the fact that he may have hurt himself.

There is some concern over the prospect of Rice missing the clash with Wolves but he will have to be assessed.

West Ham’s clash with the Molineux side is a huge one, as the Irons are in the relegation zone, and Wolves are 17th, meaning that David Moyes’ side desperately need to take all three points.

If Rice is injured, one would have to think that Flynn Downes would be the man to step in and replace him.

We’ll keep you updated with any further news about Rice’s fitness.
