Rice confirms training ground reports

|

Declan_Rice_NDeclan Rice has confirmed many reported coming in from the training ground that training has really taken off at Rush Green .

ClaretandHugh has received numerous messages this week that the intensity has been stepped up considerably and that the players not on international duty were revelling in the high energy approach under introduced under new boss David Moyes.

Now Declan – who has been named Premier League 2 Player of the Month for October – has spoken out saying: “Training has been really good” the 18-year-old said.

“He’s come in, already spoken to most of the lads and we know how he’s going to work.”

The players have trained each day since Moyes joined the club on Tuesday and Rice admitted the sessions have been tough but is excited about what the future holds.

“The manager had us doing double sessions on Wednesday and that was really tough but we know how he’s going to work and the boys, myself included, are really looking forward to it.”

We all knew this squad was not fit enough so its good to hear that Moyes has really stepped it up on the training ground as expected.Lets hope it translates on to the pitch.

How was Bilic allowed to carry on for so long, lucky the board finally woke up, the squad has underperformed and has been completely unfit for 2 years. Our best ever squad with great youth to bring in, if Moyes is any good we will finish top 8, time to get the season started.

I could see there was no real effort last season & we got lucky in some games ie Hull but I took it for granted Slav would try to alter things during the summer but it got worse, surely the Daves must have known what was going on if not why not it is their club ! I think anyone coming in would have been astonished at the poor fitness of the first team squad so it was inevitable a new regime would be required. I only hope Moyes also has a game plan & is sufficiently clued up to change things when plan A does not work ( unlike Slav who could be nicknamed the no B plan man ) I look forward to see how the team performs at Watford
