Rijkaard’s name back in frame

|

rijkaardHammers fan and national  journalist Rob Shepherd has repeated the suggestion that former Holland and Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard is high on the list being compiled by West Ham’s owners to replace Sam Allardyce..

He writes in his in his Mail Football Grapevine column that the Dutchman, Slaven Bilic. Michael Laudrup, , Real Sociedad’s David Moyes and Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa – are also on the list – all names mentioned on Claretandhugh during the last few days!

He says: “The last eight Premier League games have seen one win, four draws and three defeats. I understand the board have come to the conclusion that while overall Allardyce has done a good job in leading the club back to the Premier League and keeping it there the time has come for a new stimulus.”

I’ll never forget Rijkaard spitting in Rudi Voller’s face in the 1990 World Cup – that incident prejudices me against him, I’ll never forget that – it was disgusting!
