Romano drops huge Nunez update

|

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Darwin Nunez is set to leave Benfica this summer amid interest from the Hammers.

The Portuguese club are set to allow the Uruguay international to move on in the summer for a fee of around €80m, which equates to £66.8m.

Nunez has changed agents in recent weeks and is now set to meet with a number of top clubs, according to the noted transfer insider.

The Irons are said to remain interested in a deal to bring him into the club but there is set to be a great deal of competition to secure his signature this summer.

Manchester United are said to have floated the idea of signing Nunez this summer, while Arsenal are also said to be keeping a close eye on his situation at Benfica.

The 22-year-old has scored 31 goals in 36 games throughout this season and is now set to be at the centre of one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas.
