Scamacca: Still much to do before he’s an Iron

|

Striker Gianluca Scamacca has yet to agree on personal terms with West Ham and until that’s done   the transfer remains unconfirmed.

Earlier today Sassuolo’s CEO confirmed “There’s an agreement with West Ham a €36m fee plus €6m add-ons and a 10% sell on clause. I’m sure he will do great things, he’s a huge talent and a very good guy

There have been reports that he has either flown into London or is scheduled to do so on Monday but Claret and Hugh understand that arrive for a his medical until personal terms are sorted.

Scamacca’s agent is Alessandro Lucci who is also the representative of  Filip Kostic who West Ham are also targeting.

The 23-year-old 6 foot 5-inch striker scored 16 goals in Serie A last season and is compared to a young Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Many reports are too  often premature but hopefully, we will see some progress over the coming days.

Sean this one and Onana are so important to how we will do . If we sign both and Kostic we will be up there . Easier said than done but we actually need to splashes the cash in this window . Scamacca is awesome I so hope we make it happen . Onana the same what a talent will be worth £70 million in the future what’s to loose ! . Kostic older but good for 3-4 years . Please splash the cash and let’s show real ambition for once . I don’t mind signing Scamacca & Broja is possible but Scamacca needs to be the one . COYI ⚒

It would be spectacular for us to some how mess this deal up, but we are more than capable. Don’t forget we put in an offer for Scamacca to flush out Chelsea and secure Broja. We were not intending to carry through with this deal. I feel Scamacca is the better player and he will turn out to be a great asset for us. But when it comes to transfers I don’t trust the board or Moyes. It will be just like us to allow someone else in and steal him from under our noses. If Nottingham Forrest can out fox us Newcastle Arsenal etc are more than capable. Every day that goes by the chances of actually signing him decrease

Agree with you, he is better than Broja and also agree it would be just like us to screw it up and miss the open goal. After not being optimistic last week am strangely hopeful and wondering if something changed and Newman has been given more autonomy to make stuff happen.

With Lingard I heard he is only on 80k a week at Forest so this talk of 200k a week may be rubbish and when he said he has gone where he was wanted it might be that someone other than Moyes at the club was the problem in getting that through, who knows ?

If the club do not get this deal over the line then the faith fans have in them will just go….i can see the barcodes even Manure stepping in and Chelski as well….our own worst enemies if we dont

What is taking so long with this deal? The bid has been accepted by the club. All that’s left is to get the player over & agree personal terms. This takes over clubs no more than a day or two. What is it with us that every deal drags on and on.
With Lingard it dragged on for two years yet Nottingham Forrest tied the deal up in 2 days. Everyone is saying this guy is one of the very top strikers in Europe and we’re getting a bargain. JUST SIGN HIM. NOW!
