Scamacca to Roma?

Roma are the latest club to be showing an interest in obtaining a loan deal for Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham .

The latest news coming out of Italy has claimed that the Giallorossi have identified West Ham`s unsettled forward as the ideal candidate to replace the injured Tammy Abraham.

The ex-Sassuolo man may well be seeking a move away from West Ham after a turbulent, injury hit first year in England. It has been pretty obvious that he has been unsettled for sometime and does not seem to be part of David Moyes plans for the forthcoming season

According to calciomercato.com, talks between the two clubs are progressing . The Premier League side want to include an obligation in the final loan deal, whereas Roma would prefer an option or a dry loan.

These “dry loans” seem to be growing in popularity compared to a few years go. A dry loan in this case means that Roma wouldn’t pay anything up front for him and won’t looking to then keep him with an option to buy.

Not the best of deals, as the only benefit to the Irons will be that the wage bill will be cut , Scamacca is on £95K per week.

However, a Hammers source has made it clear that a loan deal in not among their options.
