Arsenal reported to want another Hammer

|

Johnson’s form halted talks

Arsenal are being rumoured as being interested in a second West Ham player this summer with Ben Johnson allegedly the object of their attentions.

The Gunners are now close to sighing Declan Rice of course but it is something of a surprise that they are reported to be  in the market for Johnson who has been regularly linked with a Hammers exit over recent weeks.

He has fallen right down the David Moyes pecking order and no serious talks have been held about the utility player’s future after a loss of form last season.

Now according to The Sun, West Ham are ‘expecting to sell’ Johnson this summer and report that Arsenal are in the market for a reinforcement on the right-hand side of their defence this summer.

Benjamin White has already been having to play out of position at right-back, rather than centre-half, for Arsenal, whose alternative would be to use Takehiro Tomiyasu thus an apparent interest in the Hammers academy product.
