Scamacca Wolves hint

|

David Moyes has dropped a half hint that Gianluca Scamacca could be involved in the clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium later today.

The striker’s season which has been interrupted by illness, but he is now recovered and could well be challenging for the position up front.

He has looked very useful indeed in European games and we would certainly like to see that sort of form and better produced in what we have regularly been describing as a vital game for the lads.

Manager David Moyes clearly holds a high opinion of the player and talking him up during his pre-match presser suggested that “you will be seeing a lot more of him.”

Whether that is later today or not remains to be seen of course but it would hardly come as a surprise given that he is now fully recovered.

Moyes is reported on www.whufc.com as saying:” I think everybody forgets Gianluca Scamacca had a really bad virus for two or three weeks, which is the reason he hadn’t played.

So, we’ve had to bring him back from that. And sometimes those things go amiss, but we think a lot of him. We really like him, he is coming on well, so I’m sure as long as he stays fit and healthy, you’ll see a lot more of him.”
