Second Hammer on verge of departure

|

Robert Snodgrass appears to be on the verge of departing West Ham,  and if confirmed will follow Seb Haller who joined Ajax today out of the door in the next twenty fours hours.

The 33-year-old Scotsman is poised to join Sam Allardyce at West Bromwich Albion on a 18 month contract for a nominal fee.

That confirmation could happen as early as today but is not fully completed as we go to press as it dependent of the outcome of his medical.

Yesterday Sam Allardyce confirmed Snodgrass was undergoing a medical  on Friday and would be joining Albion bar any last minute hiccups.

Big Sam told reporters “As long as the medical goes alright, by tomorrow [Friday] Robert Snodgrass will be a West Bromwich Albion player. I am absolutely delighted he has chosen to take up the challenge with us and that we will be adding some much needed Premier League experience and quality into the squad. I’m delighted he has said yes.”

Claret and Hugh understand that there are no plans to replace him in the squad this January and David Moyes is likely to give a youngster a chance to step up.

Snodgrass scored 11 goals in all competitions from 74 games for the Hammers and will be given a heroes send off by the club.

Shame about Haller as I still think we had more scoring potential if we’d have invested in Jovic as his strike partner. Saying that, it’s all about hard work in the EPL and Moysey knows best. Snoddy has also been a great servant of the club. Bilic, for reasons unknown to anyone with a working braincell among us, ignored Snoddy and had him out on loan. He’s always been a very useful addition and he would’ve been more useful during the Bilic era that thankfully ended when it did (I don’t diskile Bilic at all, just think he is a mediocre manager and too soft). Anyway, sad to see Snoddy go and good luck to the lad – he’s a great talent. Here’s hoping we bring in a fresh defender and striker…hungry, fit and ready to score…COYI

    Wish Snoddy all the best.
    Always gave 100%.
Cheers for your time at West Ham

Well, better to be a regular player than benched; and what a player. Good luck Snoddy and thanks for 100% effort and great personality.

Sad to see Robert Snodgrass leaving. He still has so much to offer our team at West Ham. Assuming he is fit that is. Suppose that Mark Noble will follow. Much better these boys move on if they aren’t needed anymore. Could be a worse fate – they shoot horses, don’t they?

Shrewd move by Sam Allardyce. Not for the first time. He brought us Kevin Nolan and a couple of mates to get us back to PL and keep us there. A masterstroke then which we should not forget.
