Second Hammers takeover bid flatly denied

Claims that West Ham have received a second offer for the club from Pai Capital have been firmly denied by the club.

And they have made it clear that should one ever come  it will be knocked back with the club having no desire to sell to this particular firm.

The board have never denied they would sell to the “right people” at some stage should an offer emerge or that they would welcome investors but they have again made it clear a takeover to Pai isn’t on .

And they don’t feel it is without significance that the attempt to do so has come at a time when the club are trying to sign players among the regular transfer window supporter unrest.

We were told: “We’ve heard nothing from them for months other than through the media. They have never shown a bank account with the money in it (ie actual proof of funds).

They are property people. We see them as highly unsuitable people to be custodians of WHUFC. Even their timing in issuing the release (ie the last 3 weeks of the transfer window) is a distraction when the board face far more important matters (eg transfers).

It shows how little they understand football and how little they are interested they are in WHUFC rather than WHU property Group.”
