Tuchel admits lack of trust in Abraham

|

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has given the clearest explanation yet why perhaps West Ham boss David Moyes should not have considered buying Tammy Abraham.

Tuchel has admitted he hasn’t trusted the 23 year old to the same extent as other players in his squad which is an honest assessment not often heard in this game.

There are now strong suggestions that the player will be on his way to Roma following a £34 million agreement between the two clubs with Moyes admitting earlier that the prices being quoted were too rich for our blood.

Abraham was apparently the priority striker on  Moyes’ list of options but the move to the Irons now appears to have collapsed.

And that may not be too much of a concern given Tuchel’s comments on the player which come in brutal terms on Sky Sport per Hammers News.

The Chelsea boss declared in surprisingly frank terms to Sky Sports: “He was clearly not happy with the last half a year and maybe he has reason also not to be happy and maybe it was also my fault not to push him, not to trust him on the same level I maybe trusted other players,

“I can absolutely understand that he wants more minutes.

The decision will be ‘how do we plan, what are Tammy’s plans, does he fight his way back into the team from the position where he ended last season or does he want to change club to have the chance of being a regular starter?’”

He is 23 English and has already proved he can score in the premier league.

He was clearly Moyes number one striker target. But let’s be real the reason we have not signed him, because the board will not match the 35million asking price and players wage, which is more like 110-120 not the 160 quoted.

Possible expensive yes , but i think this is incredibly short sighted. He is young proven, and his value could easily increase in one good season with us. In theory we should still have 25million from the sale of Haller. Who we spent 45million, and he was a big risk, because he had not proven his self in the premier league already, unlike Abraham.

35mil for your number one target, on a position we desperately need, and have needed for a long time. We will end up with a 5 or 6 pick on the list, who Moyes never really wanted last min of the window, and this will be a waste of money, Moyes wouldn’t really of wanted him but would be left with no choice at that point. (my prediction)

Tuchel is a top manager and he is 100% right in what he says about Abraham. He has watched him closely and can see exactly what his weaknesses are and they are plenty. Complete waste of time and money and anyone who thinks West Ham should sign him for 35m and on 100K plus wages is not thinking of the consequences for the club. Abraham was one of the reasons Lampard got sacked and secondly if you want any further justification look at the Chelsea social media sites and there is little or no objections to selling him. If Moyes is seriously considering signing him he should reconsider because he will also end up getting sacked because this guy will not deliver exactly like what happened to Lampard and the reason why this will happen is that he will refuse to drop him even though the fans will be on his back. I can just see it happening already.
